I've never really considered myself a political person. But I cannot help but be concerned for the future of
America. Am I better off than I was 4 years ago? Yes, but that was just luck and support from family and friends.
But I see this country going down and even though there are times that I feel I cannot make a difference, I know
that the little I do really counts.
I do not support Bush. I never have. He has never inspired any sort of confidence on my part in his ability to effectively lead this country. While the troubles our nation currently face cannot be completely blamed on him, I have been greatly disappointed in action taken by the Bush administration in the past couple of years. The "remedies" for the economy are not working. Taxpayers are hemorrhaging $4 billion a month to support a war with no justification, costing the lives of liberators, oppressors, and innocents. Our civil liberties are slowly erroding in the name of national security and patriotism. And soon I may have to move to India to keep doing my chosen profession. And where is our time and energy being wasted? Complaining about the immorality of the human body,
fighting against the right for 2 people to enjoy a loving relationship recognized by the state, and paving the way for Starbucks and McDonalds on the moon. Let us heed the warnings of the epic story brought to us by
Lucas: It's time to get off our lazy, fat asses and oust Emperor Bush and Darth Cheney before it's too late!
