Having said that, Head Of State is not that bad. I even willingly paid $9 for it because it was an election year and I liked some of the things he had to say in this movie. Apparently I could have saved my $9 because it's been on cable every day for the past 8 months.
The premise is ridiculous. The acting is sub-par. And some of the laughs are cheap. But where this movie shines is Rock's political rants. He becomes a common man candidate that you can really relate to and you feel he really gets what's wrong with this country. He rallies the people behind him when he keeps it real. But can he effectively run this country? Of course not. So you can never really believe that he would be elected president. But you can enjoy a few laughs during the ride.
So it's not that bad of a movie, but definitely one for my list.
