I've noticed in recent years that I've become a mild hypochondriac, especially with so much information available on the internet. If I'm around someone who's coughing and sneezing then I'm convinced I can feel a cold or flu coming on within minutes of such an encounter. Last fall I managed to convince myself that I had an infection from a large scrape on my leg that I hadn't put a bandage on. So when I woke up around 3 this morning and could feel the back of my throat was all swolen, I came close to convincing myself I had tonsilitis, but eventualy settled on strep throat. This self-diagnosis was confirmed by a physician and reinforced by a large needle of penicillin in my butt. The perfect way to start off Memorial Day Weekend.
