Best Songs Of 2005 - Lupe Fiasco

Lupe Fiasco - Kick Push

Chris Rock may be tired of defending hip hop, but there is not defense for most of the cRap they play on the radio these days. How did we get stuck in this mediocre hip hop wasteland where no one is saying anything relevant? I know there are a lot of people who would say that no rapper has ever said anything relevant. But I'll save the debate for another time.

But after hearing this songs on the radio a couple of times and actually listening to the lyrics I was blown away - not so much by the song, but that I was hearing it on the radio. Refreshing to say the least. And he's from the Chi. Represent! Too bad this hasn't gotten an official single release yet.
