Hey baby, wake up from your asleep
I don't know exactly what the joke is yet, but it's funny to me:

TOP TEN SIGNS YOU SHOULD HAVE WORKED FROM HOME TODAY
Here we come a-wassailing
Among the leaves so green,
Here we come a-wand'ring
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
We are not daily beggers
That beg from door to door,
But we are neighbors' children
Whom you have seen before
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
Good master and good mistress,
As you sit beside the fire,
Pray think of us poor children
Who wander in the mire.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
We have a little purse
Made of ratching leather skin;
We want some of your small change
To line it well within.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
Bring us out a table
And spread it with a cloth;
Bring us out a cheese,
And of your Christmas loaf.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
God bless the master of this house,
Likewise the mistress too;
And all the little children
That round the table go.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
I've been asked to man the decks again for the next Intelligent Minds event. This Saturday (Dec.9) at the Pontiac Cafe at 10pm I'll be spinning more Drum&Bass. Come out if you get a chance. I understand that we're in the midst of the holiday party mayhem, but you can stop by for a drink on the way to your real party.

SNL was actually pretty good last night. Thanks, Tivo!
Is it just me, or is Akon on every other song on the radio right now?
To all the people in the Santa outfits at the Pontiac last night - thanks for the cheer.
What do I want for Christmas?
Madonna - Get Together
Yeah, that right! Madonna! Get over it.
I've heard that Confessions On A Dancefloor is much better than her last album. I don't own it, but I'll take that at face value since I've heard 4 singles from this album and only remember hearing one from the last. I've always enjoyed Madonna on some level. I wouldn't call myself a fan, but she has put out good pop music over the years and she does a good job of staying current. Get Together really caught my ear after hearing it a few times. It's a bit reminiscent of One More Time by Daft Punk with that looping synth chord structure. But Madonna puts her own spin on that and I really like how the vocal rhythm is a little disjointed from the rest of the music. And as with a lot of Madonna songs, the remixes are good. I even got the 12"
If Rocky can get his old ass back into the ring, then John McClane can certainly save the day... again. At least they aren't calling it Die Hard 4.
I am so done with MySpace! It is so freakin' slow and half the time it crashes. I honestly don't understand how it got to be the most popular web site on the planet when it's barely usable. Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's because I'm not using Internet Explorer or because I'm on a Mac. But it's a web site and neither of those should matter - it should just work better than it does. I only put up a MySpace page because people were bugging me about. I really didn't see the point since I have my own website. But I recognized its potential as a networking tool. And since I've been doing the DJ thing more often lately, it's probably a good promotional tool as well. But I can't stand using it. So I'm sorry MySpace - it's over. We can still be friends, but we can't hang out to often.
I got my latest issue of Maxim this week. I've been a loyal reader for years, but lately I'm just not satisfied with it. Don't worry, it's not a sign of maturity on my part or anything like that. The magazine has changed. It seems like it's about half the size it used to be. There's a new layout that I don't agree with. And it's just not enough substance anymore. I know what you're thinking, "You're asking for substance in Maxim?" Yeah, I am. Of course I like the girls. But I mostly bought it for the articles and music reviews and spots about cool gadgets and stuff. And it's just not enough anymore. So I'm letting go. Supposedly the next issue will be my last if I don't act now. Maybe I'll finally get a subscription to Newsweek.
