Number 5? Really?

So I dugg up this article this morning and had to say I was surprised:

The 5 Best Mass Transit Systems in the World

I was surprised to see Chicago in the top 5. Really!!?? Ask anybody who's been riding the L for the past couple of years and I'm sure they'd disagree. Between the construction and poor service, it's been a little rough for commuters. But maybe we've gotten spoiled over the years. I'll admit, the train system in Chi-Town has served me well over the years. And now I just realized that I've been living in the city for almost 10 years now. If you'd asked me ten years ago, I'd have though I'd be in the burbs somewhere with a wife and kids and maybe even a dog. But I digress. So are public transportation systems in other cities that bad that we rank in the top 5? I guess we'll have to see what people say if we get the Olympics in 2016. I'll be telecommuting that summer.

Let Lou Dobbs Lead The Way

Condoleeza has some interesting words about race a few days ago. It was kinda nice to see her remind people that she is actually black. Maybe all this recent talk about race will actually move people toward having a real dialog about it without fear of the political correctness police. I think that's the only way that we're going to get past it in this country. However, one thing that definitely ticks me off is people who want to ignore the problem or speak as if there is no problem. It's usually someone who has not been affected by racism at all. I don't want to point fingers but they usually fit a certain profile. (Was that racist of me?)

The Return of Larouche

2 of you might remember my ordeal from a few years ago where I received numerous calls from the Larouche campaign. I haven't gotten a call in a while but my spidey sense sure was tingling today when I looked at the number on my phone. But they left a message this time!! And sure enough, it's someone from the Larouche campaign.

Hope all 5 of you voted today. A lot of people are excited about this election. There were even 8 year olds handing out flyers near the school where my polling place is this morning. OK, that's not true, but you get the idea.

Problem No. 002 With The Sarah Connor Chronicle

OK, now they've jumped 10 years into the future and the body of the terminator that was trying to kill them in 1997 just happened to be laying around in a junkyard?

Ok, say you're investigating a bank robbery. 3 people have locked themselves inside the vault. This guy shows up and walks inside and begins to tear the vault door apart. His head gets blown off and it is revealed to be a robot instead of a man. What happens to the robot? It gets thrown into a junkyard. WTF?

So now the head and body are reunited. But how did the head make it to 2007 if nothing that isn't alive can't go through the time portal?
